Moto: Mainstreaming Climate Change Adaptation into the coffee sector in Rwanda to ensure the future of the coffee supply chains.
University of Rwanda, College of Science and Technology, School of ICT and Sciences, are engaged in using emerging technologies and biological contexts to support the community in modernizing current working principles. In collaboration with RAB and coffee washing cooperatives, we are working to integrate IT tools into the coffee farming sector in Rwanda.
The research team is an interdisciplinary group focusing on the synergy between Intelligence (AI, Computer Vision, Graphics, and Multimedia), Systems (Data platforms and Analytics, programming languages, software engineering, security, privacy, and cryptography, systems, and networks), and Theory (Mathematical modeling and algorithms). The group also connects to other sciences such as Agriculture, Medical, Health, Social Sciences, and Cultural Heritage to create novel human-computer interfaces.
CSE_AI Research Lab is a collaborative transdisciplinary, diverse team of data scientists and researchers dedicated to using IoT, AI, Machine Learning, and statistical modeling to tackle some of humanity’s greatest challenges. The research group specializes in applying artificial intelligence and data science including, for example, methods from machine learning, computer vision, IoT, and predictive analytics to problems in Rwanda.
